We're rounding out the first month of 2013 so it only makes sense to check in on my goals so far!

Stop Pretending You Didn't Know You Were Wrong
People treat the internet like the wild west. There's just one problem. It's not.

Like Walking On A Cloud
It's been super cold outside. (Well, for North Carolina.) We even had an ice coated Friday as a fairly nasty wintery mix stepped in. The city pretty much shut down.

I Love You, Too!
Last Friday CB.Socially posted on Facebook asking everyone to tag one blogger they admired and share why. Of course bloggers never follow the rules and we all went tag mad.

Return on Relationship by Ted Rubin and Kathryn Rose
Last August I had the pleasure of meeting Ted Rubin while in New York for BlogHer. Of course I knew Ted long before that thanks to social media. (Ted's the most followed CMO on Twitter...106,841 at last count. That makes my 4,690 followers look just pitiful!)
In 2009 Ted started using the term ROR or Return on Relationship™ to stand for the real measure of success. The standard ROI or Return on Investment was simply not holding up in the evolving world of social media. Online communities have value that cannot be measured in dollars and cents.
Now Ted and coauthor Kathryn Rose have brought their collective knowledge and experience together to publish their book Return on Relationship. In the book you'll find ways to maximize your potential through the use of community-focused tools on the internet. (In other words, there's a good reason for all of the blogging and tweeting and posting on Facebook...)

{Recipe} Healthy And Easy Sweet & Sour Chicken
I haven't had sweet & sour chicken in ages. I love it but when I eat it at a restaurant it always seems too sweet. (And definitely not healthy.) I've never tried to make my own, but...it can't be too hard, right?

Choose Shutterfly For Valentine's Day
We all know the best Valentine's Days were the ones when you were in elementary school. Who didn't love exchanging little cards and candy with all of their classmates? Getting older just makes Valentine's Day complicated...

Jessner Peel {Before & After}
I had a few Spa Finder cards lying around and I had no clue what to do with them. Looking at the website at the spa closest to me that accepted the cards I saw that they did facial chemical peels. A friend had recently had one done and loved the results. I thought...why not?

Turning Over A New Leaf With The Walgreens App
I might be trying to turn over a new leaf or two in 2013. You know, things like staying on top of my health. Eating better. Saving money. Getting organized. Luckily Walgreens has an app for that!

I'm Featured on the Wells Fargo Blog!
Remember last August when I attended BlogHer? Well, there's some very cool news. Wells Fargo was one of the BlogHer sponsors and they held an essay contest. Guess who was a runner up? (OK, if you could see me, I'm totally pointing at myself now...)

Cinnamon+Starbucks=Love
I kind of sort of don't believe in New Year's Resolutions. That doesn't mean I don't have a few dozen things I want to change in 2013, however...
