So it seems I'm a blog conference junkie. Who knew?
I had a blast last year at BlogHer. That was a no-brainer. I knew before the first day was over that I was getting a ticket for BlogHer 13. It's hands down the best place to meet the most people in the blogging community. The parties are fabulous. The brands you meet are fabulous. But most of all the people are fabulous. I loved meeting so many people I talked to online. I made so many friends. I couldn't miss it this year.
But then Collective Bias decided it was finally time to have SoFabCon. I love Collective Bias and Social Fabric. These people have changed my blog and my life! I bought my ticket for SoFabCon the day they went on sale. I have my roomies ready. Going to SoFabCon wasn't even optional for me. It was something that I had to do. There are too many people I want to meet and too many things I need to thank them for not to attend.
So two blog conferences is more than enough, right? At least for me. I'm paying my own way for everything. (I have no skills when it comes to conference sponsorship. I tried for BlogHer. I failed.) And I'm more than willing to do it. It's worth it to me. Even if I don't learn a thing I know I'm going to be spending time with some of the coolest people I know and having a blast. (But on the plus side-I might learn something. Win/Win!)
And then Bloggy Boot Camp Charlotte was announced. Finally, a conference in my own back yard. OK, not really. It's a little over two hours away. But it is a conference I can drive to. And it's a conference I've heard great things about. I tried to talk myself out of it, though. It's still more money I'm spending and more time away from home. And there are a million other reasons why I shouldn't go. So what did I do today, the day early bird ticket prices expired? I bought mine and talked a friend into buying one, too.
So if you're going to any of these conferences make sure you find me and say hello! And if you hear of any other conferences that I absolutely must attend please don't tell me. Four conferences this year would be crazy, right?

I can't wait to meet you at SofabCon! I have Been to Bloggy Boot Camp and LOVED it! I learned so much.
ReplyDeleteYou'll learn a lot at BBC. I sure did last year. And of course I'll see you at the other two. It would kind of be hard to avoid you even if I wanted to, which I don't, considering we'll be sleeping in the same room and all. And 3 isn't so bad. You go for 4 and I actually will try to talk you out of it.
ReplyDeleteSoFabCon will be epic! I can't wait to see you there!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I have you to keep me on track here. Yes...four would be total madness, right? LOL
ReplyDeleteI REALLY wish I was going to SoFabCon. :( But BBC with you is going to be FANTASTIC. You know they assign seats right? We might not be sitting together. I'm going to cry.
