All you need to create your own "after" is a piece of furniture that needs a little love, spray paint and Elmer's Painters Paint Markers.

This little yellow rocker has a long history. It was mine as a baby. It's spent the last few years moving from attic to closet and finally making it's way to my house. It has a lot of sentimental value, but it's also seen better days.

{Recipe} Caramel Frozen Hot Chocolate

Just because it's almost summer doesn't mean you can't enjoy hot chocolate. You just need to make a few adjustments! This is the classic Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate recipe, but with a little something extra. I added creamy caramel flavor with Natural Bliss Caramel.

There are some brands that are a part of your world for as long as you can remember. Neutrogena is one of those brands for me. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many of their products I've used throughout my life. When I was younger I used the facial wash and the transparent facial bar. A Deck Update With #KmartOutdoor

My drab and dingy deck now has a new lease on life thanks to an update featuring Kmart's Outdoor Living Collection.

I find so much inspiration for the home from catalogs. The Kmart Spring-Summer 2012 Outdoor Living catalog was no exception. I immediately knew I wanted to add some pops of color to my deck.

{Tutorial} Zippered Duct Tape Wristlet

It's really easy to make this cute zippered wristlet. And since it's duct tape there's no sewing required!

Start with a zipper the width you would like your wristlet to be. On the inside of the zipper apply duct tape slightly longer than the lenth of the zipper on each side. (I'm working on a self-healing cutting mat-those work well with duct tape since it's easy to remove the tape.)

How Time To Play Made My Day

For a while now my Wednesday and Friday schedules have been made around two things: Time To Play TV and #TimeToPlayLive. Whenever I can my lunch break is spent with the crew from Time To Play having fun and answering toy trivia.

Outdoor Update Overload!

What's the opposite of a green thumb? Whatever it is, that's what I have. My yard has more weeds than grass. I have sad shrubs and beds in need of mulch.
I LOVE the outdoors. I just don't love the effort that's needed to get the outdoors looking their best.
But this summer that's going to change. I'm going to turn my yard into something special.
First up: Deckapalooza. The deck is getting a full on spring cleaning and spruce up. There's also another project in the works: Operation Weed Be Gone. I'm partially through my first cycle of weeding, feeding and seeding. (With a full summer schedule still ahead!)
And that's just for starters. I'll be sharing along the way what works, what doesn't and exactly how we're going to enjoy the outdoors this summer.
