This easy sauce is the perfect topping for an ice cream sundae, waffles, pancakes...it can even serve as the base for an easy strawberry pie!
1 pint fresh strawberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Clean and quarter strawberries and place into a saucepan with sugar. Cook over medium heat until sauce forms and thickens. Place sauce into blender and puree. Add vanilla and allow sauce to cool. Store in refrigerator. Extra chopped fresh strawberries can be added to sauce if you like.
