Decorating for Easter with Kmart #KmartEaster

I have such great memories of Easter as a child. My mother always had this amazing Easter display in our entry way. She made us great baskets full of personalized goodies every year. My little sister and I would make forts in the living room that we called "bunny huts". That's where the Easter Bunny would leave our baskets. I loved the new Sunday dresses and pristine white shoes for the sunrise service at church. Easter has always been a favorite time of year.
The holiday spirit hadn't made it's way into my house just yet, so I was excited to visit Kmart to decorate my table and porch for Easter. Did I say table? I meant tables... I really wanted to make sure I had a little Easter all over the house!
I definitely found some egg-cellent inspiration at Kmart for my Easter decor. I selected two types of eggs to use for multiple projects throughout my downstairs.
The planter I purchased in the garden center became an adorable nest for the glitter eggs. I removed the ribbon from the eggs by pulling it out gently. I added crumpled newspaper in the bottom of the planter, then topped with basket fill to complete the nest. The moss bunny I already had made a perfect finishing touch. I couldn't be happier with my own take on a porch greeter.
I finished off the porch with an easy to make bunny wreath. It's simply two grape vine wreathes, wrapped together with floral wire. I used pre-made vine garland to create the ears and ribbon to decorate and hang the finished bunny.
I filled a glass vase from the candle aisle with more glitter eggs and basket fill to complete my entry table.
Bowls from the Celebrations by Radko collection became their own little nests with the addition of basket fill and robin's egg candies.
I even found a use for ribbons that I removed from the glitter eggs. I added them to a glass bowl vase I already had. A small bunny completed the look.

A candle tray with basket fill and metallic eggs made the perfect simple centerpiece for my dining table.

  4. Thanks Rachel! It's a fun project. If you can get your hands on brown floral wire it's even easier. (They were sold out when I was searching.) I used silver, which meant it all had to be hidden in the back. Even so, it was so easy!

  6. I'm particularly fond of the shiny (sparkly) dining room table centerpiece. That was such an incredibly simple concept that I would have NEVER thought of but makes such a beautiful and quite elegant centerpiece. It all looks great!
